Children´s folklore group Kornička was established in autumn 1999 in the city Trenčín (situated on the river Vah in the western part of Slovakia). Now  is working more than 100 children from Trenčín and its surroundings between the age of 6 and 17 in the group.

         In its repertoire the group draws inspiration from the rich folk traditions of the home region Trenčín a Myjava. During 25 years of its activity children´s folklore group KORNIČKA won a great number of prizes at Slovakian folklore dance and music competitions and also abroad. The group is TRIPLE LAUREATE of the Slovak Competition of the best children´s and youth folklore groups in the last 3 consecutive years.

          The youth´s folk music with the soloists and the vocal choir recorded 5 CDs and 3 DVDs. The group performs around 35 times a year and until now realized more than 800 performances at home and at 20 countries abroad (Taiwan, Portugal, Spain, France, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Hungary, Serbia, Romania, Luxembourg, Bulgaria, Austria and the Czech Republic).

    From our rich dance and song repertoire we can offer you various types of programs different kind of events like (concert performances, receptions, Festival´s shows, Opening ceremonies, Christmas concerts, exhibitions, important celebrations, etc.). The length of the music - dance program and the number of the performers can vary  (according to the requests of the organisator) - from 10 to 90 minutes. We also offer music concerts (with vocal choir and soloist - singer) with the length of the programme 20 - 40 minutes.
